Marion Caméléon
Marion Caméléon, whose real name is Marion Moretti, is a professional makeup artist and content creator from France. A graduate of the Make Up For Ever Academy, she started working with the brand before launching her YouTube channel in 2017, where she shares tutorials and artistic makeup, particularly for Halloween. Her talent and pedagogical approach have earned her a large following. In 2022, she collaborated with Sephora for a successful makeup collection. Today, she continues to inspire with her creations and discussions on beauty and society.
Summary
For the first time on her YouTube channel, Marion wanted to create a real makeup contest TV show. Inspired by iconic shows like Glow-Up, Ink Master, RuPaul's Drag Race, and Top Chef, she aimed to create a show that truly reflected her style and that she would love to watch. The pilot season, Season 1, consists of 2 episodes of approx. 45 minutes each, featuring 6 contestants, 6 judges, and 2 winners. Let yourself be drawn into the game and watch the first two episodes.
Challenge
The director, Jeoffroy Nicolas, wanted the pilot season to be as true as possible to both his and Marion's vision. After several writing sessions, we had just 14 days left to prepare for the shoot. The real challenge was the limited time we had for filming: only 1 day. One day to shoot 2 episodes, each 4 hours long. With 18 people on our team, we organized the shoot minute by minute to avoid any issues we couldn't afford. Organization was the real challenge of this project, in addition to realizing the artistic vision of Marion and the director.
Solutions
To succeed, we invested significant time in preparation, collaborating closely with scooting manager, artistic director and production manager to elaborate a realistic planning for the crew and the cast. We're delighted to share the excellent results of this shoot, which resulted in 2 episodes of Mission Glaméléon. It was a huge success, with over 200k views on each episode. Our partner brands and Marion's community can't wait to discover season 2.
