Toile
“Toile” is a podcast launched in September 2022 by Marie Lopez, better known under the pseudonym EnjoyPhoenix. In this podcast, she explores the flip side of social networks, tackling themes such as meteoric rise, over-mediatization, harassment and the pressure of likes. Each episode, broadcast every other Wednesday, features a conversation with an influential personality, offering an authentic perspective on the challenges and realities of the world of influence.
Summary
Launched in 2023, Toile is the first podcast by Marie Lopez, aka EnjoyPhoenix, on social media. Having started her career on YouTube, Marie wanted to film her first podcast to share on her favorite platform. She collaborated with Majelan Studio, a renowned Parisian podcast studio, who were delighted to create this filmed podcast for the first time.
Challenge
The Majelan studio wasn't designed for filming. The space was quite cramped, and it was difficult to plan lighting and camera setup. Our equipment had to be discreet, soundproof, and energy-efficient enough to keep the room cool during filming. It was the middle of August.
The set was already set, and we were the last to add our elements.
With two weeks of preparation, we had to scout the location in order to take measurements that would help us make the right decisions.
Solutions
To successfully complete this project, for which we only had two weeks of preparation, we had to redouble our efforts to create a suitable technical setup.
Marie was hosting distinguished guests, and we couldn't have a setup that wasn't up to the task. The preparation time allowed us to choose the best setup in record time.
In post-production, we redoubled our creativity by proposing an introduction that incorporated the artistic direction Marie had imagined in record time. Delivery was swift, and the episodes performed well on YouTube and other streaming platforms.
